China opposes politicizing monetary issues, said central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan Saturday.

Zhou made the comment when answering a question about the accusation that China manipulates the yuan's exchange rate at a press conference on the sidelines of the annual session of the National People's Congress (NPC), the country's top legislature.   

Deputies to China's top legislature and members of its top advisory body questioned the huge profits of China's real estate developers and said they were making exorbitant profits in the real estate market.

Real estate developers in China earned profits of at least 1 trillion yuan ($146.5 billion) in 2009, said Chen Wanzhi, a deputy to the National People's Congress (NPC), the Oriental Morning Post reported on Thursday.

Lenovo's overseas income will greatly increase in 2010 due to the economic recovery of the overseas market and the company's strategic adjustment, Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing said Friday.

Export-Import Bank of China (China Eximbank) will not seek a listing but will remain a policy lender, the bank's chairman Li Ruogu told chinadaily.com.cn on Thursday.

"We are still awaiting government approval for an injection of cash from Central Huijin Investment Co that would enhance the bank's capital adequacy," Li said when attending the annual session of the CPPCC. "Approval for Huijin to sell bonds to fund the cash injection and for other details of the plan hasn't been given yet."
