HE was a handsome, humorous and hard-working boy. To me he was perfect. I fell in love with him, even though I was only 13 years old.

I hid this emotion carefully at the beginning. I kept telling myself, "you are still too young. It is not the right time and it may affect your studies. So, stay clear headed!" Hard as I tried, I just couldn't help thinking about him. Gradually, he captured my whole heart.

After entering university, I still couldn't forget him. When reminiscing about the past, I was full of thankfulness. And that black pen always brought back happy memories for me.

However, after such a long time, I still didn't know his feelings about me. I needed an answer. So one day, I sent him a short message, "Have you ever loved me? I want to know whether we can be together." He replied, "You are a good girl. I like you a lot. But I prefer to be your older brother all the time. You know, it can last forever between brother and sister, but it may not between lovers."

Actually, I knew the answer before I asked him. However, I felt sad for a while. But then after a while I understood: He is just my brother, forever. That day, I said goodbye to the girl I had been, and was ready for a new life.
